Being unfiltered and unapologetically herself is Cardi’s forte and it’s only right that her outfits are as dazzling as she is.
Almost every celebrity has a glam squad of experts, who ensure their clientele is paparazzi ready at all times. Kollin Carter, Cardi B’s top stylist, is responsible for her some of her best, bold and daring looks.
He even makes her beloved Fashion Nova outfits look like they came straight out of a designer boutique.
Carter effortlessly styles his muse in pieces that emphasize her larger-than-life persona. Punches of vibrant colors like yellow, green, and hot pink. Huge fur coats with oversized sunglasses. Perfectly tailored pantsuits. And, breathtaking gowns customized to her red carpet and television appearances. He nails the perfect look for her every time.
According to Cosmopolitan, Carter had just parted ways with his first client, Justine Skye and started to think being a celebrity stylist wasn’t for him. Then, a friend of his at Atlantic Records encouraged him to work with Cardi B and the rest was history.
An interview with WWD reports Carter’s impressive background in editorial work, being apart of celebrity stylist, Law Roach’s team for three years.
The first gig he booked with the Brox native was the July/August cover of Fader. The shoot was successful and the pair “vibed,” and “connected,” according his interview with Cosmo.
