The perfect pink outfit

Pink is my number one favorite color. When I was a kid, I was on my way to visit my family in Mississippi. Before my parents and left for them to drop me off,  remember asking my Dad if I could have a “pink room.” When I returned, my Dad surprised me by painting my room pink. I haven’t changed my stance since.

Not only is pink my favorite color, but it’s also the color that represents Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Unfortunately, breast cancer runs in my family. I have a few breast cancer survivors and angels who are watching over my family and I. My pink outfit was an expression of my support for those who have suffered and lost their lives to this terrible disease and to raise awareness.

Like most of my outfits, this look was spontaneous. I had just purchased this belt and bag from BCBGeneration and I was excited to wear them. I considered holding out on this ensemble until FAMU Homecoming, but I couldn’t wait.

I had thrifted this robe from Olde Fields Clothing Co., but I had no clue how I wanted to rock it. It’s a vintage Christian Dior robe so I didn’t want to wear it with just anything. I had to postpone wearing the robe until I had the right pieces to rock underneath it.

My dear friend, Diamond Rollins took my pictures! I edited them using InstaSize on my iPhone 8 Plus. Photos were captured using a Cannon T5i Rebel camera.

Love these earrings from ALDO and my Steve Madden heels. I bought the choker a long time ago from a Bloomingdale’s outlet store.
